Another successful dinner

Teachers convention means a lazy Thursday at home playing with tablets. Colin is on his Fire tablet learning numbers and letters and Gwen is drawing on her magnetic board.

It’s time to take out the garbage

Can children’s book publishers STOP doing this?? Small black text agianst a dark background?? What are you thinking? Several of Colin’s books have this and it’s really annoying. Do these people HAVE kids? Have they ever tried reading one of these books to their kids?

I found a combo stool/guitar stand on Amazon that fits in the corner of our tiny office. I’ll have to pull it out of the corner to actually use it, of course, but it sits pretty nicely out of the way when not in use. Yes, the neck cradle slides in under the seat so it’s not just hanging out there in between your legs while you’re sitting there. The body cradle also folds up so your feet don’t rest on it. I guess I’m really putting a lot of faith in my children not messing with things they’re not supposed to when I’m not in the room.

Isn’t it crazy how, as Howard the Duck progresses, Jeffrey Jones’s possessed character looks more and more like 2024 John Carpenter?

A few months ago, after being told repeatedly by her Nanny what a good girl she is, Gwen had apparently come to believe that her name is Good (pronounced good-ah). When asked her name, she replies “Good-ah!” and has been doing so ever since.
